A notarial act is each signature/seal I complete - most single documents need just one or two.
- Example: a power of attorney signing 8 driving miles from Brownfield (2 notarizations) = $60 flat. A third document adds $10.
- Example: a signing 25 driving miles out = $75 + (15 extra miles x 2 for the round trip x $1.50) = $120.
| Item | Fee |
|---|---|
| Evening (after 6 p.m.) or weekend | +$25 |
| Same-day, holiday, or after 9 p.m. | +$50 |
| Hospital, hospice, or care-facility visits | No extra charge - ever |
Only the highest applicable surcharge applies - they never stack.
Cancel with 2 or more hours' notice - no charge. Cancel with less than 2 hours' notice, before I am on the road - $25. If you cancel after I am on the road, or I arrive and the signing cannot be completed for reasons outside my control - a signer without valid ID, or who is unable or unwilling to sign - the appointment fee applies plus $1.50 per mile driven, round trip. Add-on acts are not charged.
No extra charge for hospital, hospice, or care-facility visits - ever.
All fees are disclosed in writing and agreed upon before any notarial act is performed.
What to Bring
Five minutes of prep prevents a failed appointment:
